I’ve really been looking forward to getting my hands on these: the A-Wear Lace Short in navy.
Design
These shorts are every bit as cute as they look in the picture! There are even nice little flat pockets which I couldn’t see on the pictures in the site.
They’re flattering and versatile- could be worn just as well with tights and boots for winter as it could with a little tucked-in blouse for summer. I could imagine them becoming a bit of a year-round staple.
Quality
Not the greatest. They are lined, but the material feels flimsy and thin. After a try on, a thread had come loose and tangled itself in the zipper- never a good sign. Sadly, although I think I would want to wear them again and again, they may not last long enough to give good cost per wear. Be prepared to treat these delicately.
Care
The ASOS site does not give details, but the tag says machine wash at 30 degrees. I would probably use a garment bag to protect the lace.
Overall
Love their style, but at £35 (US $62), they don’t exactly fit into the “cheap thrills” category and this is more or less where the quality level is at. I would wait until they go on sale, or possibly try the very similar but much cheaper ASOS version.
